Gladys L. Walker, 89, of Hartsburg died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995, at Ashland Healthcare Center in Ashland. Services are 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland with the Rev. Don Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Bonds Chapel Cemetery in Hartsburg. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Walker was born Nov. 15, 1905, in Hartsburg to Walter and Bessie Bledsoe Hinshaw. On Dec. 12, 1924, she married Louie Walker in Jefferson City, and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Hartsburg Baptist Church, the Hartsburg Baptist Ladies Aid, the American Legion Auxilliary Post No. 424 of Hartsburg and the Royal Neighbors of America. She had worked as a housekeeper at Boone Hospital Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Wintermeyer of Hartsburg; a son, Dale Walker of Columbia; a sister, Edna Gibson of O'Fallon; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild. Memorials can be made to Hartsburg Baptist Church, Hartsburg, Mo., 65039.
