Ronnie's obituary was published in "The Columbia Tribune" (Columbia, Missouri) on October 9, 1997:²

Ronnie Hinshaw, 60, of Shelbyville, formerly of Columbia, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at Boone Hospital Center.   Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbyville with the Rev. Jim Oliver officiating.  Burial will be in Shelby Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home.   Mr. Hinshaw was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Columbia to Elvin Paul and Allene Thelma Mohr Hinshaw.   He married Janice Lynn Chinn on June 7, 1963, in Shelbyville, and she survives.   He was a Methodist and a member of the American Legion of Shelbina.  He graduated from Hickman High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.   Survivors also include a son, Scott Hinshaw of Shelbyville; a daughter, Rhonda Caldwell of Leonard; and five grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by a half brother.  Memorials are suggested to donor's choice.
