He married Cora E. Schwinn, Jul 22 1908, Anderson, Madison County, Indiana.^8,14,15  Cora, daughter of Noah W. Schwinn & Ida Shelly/Shelley, was born Aug 10 1889, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana.^{2,3,6,15,17,18,19}  (c1877).²⁰

On Jun 5 1917 Clarence Irvin Henshaw, age 28, registered for the World War I draft in Lewistown, Fergus County, Montana.  He declared he was born July 28 1889 in Alexandria, Indiana, and was then residing at 317 Idaho, Lewistown where he had a wife & four children and was employed as a baggage driver with M[..unclear..] Transfer of Lewistown.  He claimed an exemption due to his dependent family.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, brown eyes, dark hair.⁷  

Clarence and family were shown in the 1920 census, 111 East 4th Street, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana:³

Apparently Clarence and Cora divorced or separated sometime before May 2 1930.²¹  

Cora remarried to an Arthur G. Shaffer,²¹ with whom she had a daughter, Barbara M. Shaffer²¹ (married Daniel E. Warren, Nov 22 1943, Grant County, Indiana).²²

Cora was then widowed⁶ or divorced.¹⁸  

Cora and children were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 10 1940), 110 Madison [street], Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana:⁶

Cora died Oct 21 1968, Community Hospital, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana; age 79.^17,18,19  

Cora's obituary was published in "The Anderson Herald" (Anderson, Madison County, Indiana) on Tuesday, October 22, 1968¹⁹ (see scan below).  

Clarence was shown in the 1930 census (1930), living in (or staying in) a boarding house in Fergus County, Montana:²³

He then married Verdela -.²⁴

In 1946 Irvin was living in Upland, Indiana.¹³  

On Apr 4 1947 Clarence Irvin Hinshaw, age 53, registered for the draft in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.  He declared he was born "7 28 1889" in Fowlerton, Indiana, and was then residing in Liberty Township, Delaware County, Indiana, employed on the farm of Harry Phillips of Liberty Township.  He declared his relative/contact was Joe Hinshaw of Alexandria, Indiana.  He was recorded as 5'10" tall, 230 lbs., blue eyes, gray hair, light complexion, and "Leg and foot fracture".¹⁶  

In 1955 Irvin was living in Zionsville, Indiana.¹²  

He then married Irel Jeannette "Jenny" Wait²⁵ [Irel Jeannette "Jenny" Farrell²⁶], Apr - 1965²⁵, Pinellas County, Florida²⁵.  Irel was born Aug 10 1890.^17,27  Irel had been previously married to William Henry Wait.²⁸  

Irel died Nov 5 1974, Pinellas County, Florida; age 89.^9,17  

Clarence Irvin Henshaw died Jul 24 1979, Pinellas County, Florida; age 89.^9,17
