Abner Hinshaw died Jan 7 18631,3,4,7 [Jun 7 18635], St. Louis, Missouri1,3,4,7; buried Wesleyan Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri - reinterred to Section 38, grave 18, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri1,3,4,7. Apparently either reinterred in, or a marker placed in, Reitenour Cemetery, Randolph County, Indiana.5
Abner's death was noted in the "Indianapolis Journal" (Indianapolis, Indiana) on January 14, 1863 (page 3, column 1).6
