Elizabeth's obituary was published in "The Montana Standard" (Butte, Montana) on Wednesday, January 7, 1976:7

Elizabeth Luebben, 89

DILLON -- Services are pending for Elizabeth Hinshaw Leubben [sic], 89, Dillon, who died Monday in a Dillon hospital.  

Mrs. Luebben was born Oct. 21, 1886 in Ridgefarm, Ill., to Dr. and Mrs. Dougan C. Hinshaw.  She attended high school in Ridgefarm and attended Glendale College for Women in Glendale, Ohio.  She earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Illinois.  

She moved to Dillon in September 1914 and was director of home economics at Western Montana College.  

She married Thomas E. Luebben of Dillon in Ridgefarm in 1916.  He died in 1953.  

Mrs. Luebben was a charter member of the Dillon Panhellenic Club, Dillon branch of the American Association of University Women and the Huguenot Society of Montana.  

SHE WAS A member of the Miziah Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and was past worthy matron and a member of the Grand Chapter of Montana and was worthy grand matron in 1935-36.  Mrs. Luebben was a member of the Dillon board of the Order of Rainbow for Girls and also was on the state board.  

She belonged to the Tirzah Chapter, Daughters of the Nile, and presided as queen in 1943.  

She was a member of the Beaverhead Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a chapter and state regent, a member of the Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, a member of the Magna Charta Dames, the Sovereign Colonial Society of Americans of Royal Descent and the American Legion Auxiliary.  

Survivors are sons, Thomas of San Francisco and Dougan of Los Alamitos, Calif., and six grandchildren.  

Services will be Thursday at 2 at St. James Episcopal Church in Dillon with the Rev. Lee Schlotthauer officiating.  Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery with Eastern Star rites.
