Mildred M. Hinshaw, 62, of R.R. 20, Bloomington, died at 3:54 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 17, 2000) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Arrangements are pending at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

The funeral service for Millie M. Hinshaw, 62, of rural Bloomington, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Bloomington. The Rev. Ric Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. She died at 3:54 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 17, 2000) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church or to the McLean County Humane Society. Miss Hinshaw was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Bloomington, a daughter of J. Deane and Kathryn Weidinger Hinshaw. She is survived by two sisters, Kathryn (Eugene) Kerber, Cooksville; and Carol (William) Dietz, Bloomington; three brothers, C. Deane (Ruth) Hinshaw; Eldon J. (Jessie) Hinshaw; and Lyle (Joyce) Hinshaw, all of Bloomington. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews, including Kathy (John) Albee, who Millie helped raise; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. She was loved by all, including many adopted nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Millie was a graduate of Normal Community High School and worked for General Telephone Company for 34 years as an operator and supervisor. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, the St. Ann Society and a member and past chairperson of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Dewitt-Clinton Chapter.
