FRANK J. KRENN; OF NEW BRITAIN
Frank J. Krenn of New Britain, a former city police officer, died Sunday. He was 87.
Born in Austria, he lived in New Britain most of his life and was a city police officer for 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Church, New Britain, and a member of St. Peter's Society and the Varpas Club.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Miller Krenn; three sons, Richard Krenn of Florida, Robert Krenn of Burlington and Donald Krenn of California; a brother, Richard Hammerl of New Jersey; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at noon at St. Peter Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Church, 98 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051.

Helen F. Krenn, 87, of New Britain, died Sunday at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Charles and Hennrietta (Knaus) Miller, she was a life long resident. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Krenn. During her career, she worked many years as an assistant cook at the Ridgeview Health Care in Cromwell and at other various convalescent homes. She was a member of St. Peter Church, served on the board of the Walnut Hill Condominium Association and was a member of St. Andrew’s Church Senior Club.
Mrs. Krenn is survived by two sons Edward C. Cipko of Port Richey, FL, and David Cipko of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsons Richard Krenn of Palm Beach Garden, FL and Donald and his wife Esther Krenn of Cupertino, CA; a daughter in law Joan Krenn of Burlington; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain, CT 06051. The Farrell Funeral Home New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
