Johanna and her husband were divorced.1 She changed her name back to Krenn, and later did so also with son Frank.8
Shortly after Frank was born, in 1912, Johanna came to the U.S., staying with her brother Josef in New Britain, Connecticut. It is unclear if she divorced Kohlberger before coming to the U.S. or later, but she was recorded in the 1920 census as single.

On Jun 14 1921 Johanna and son Frans arrived at the port of New York (Ellis Island) on the ship S.S. Mount Clay, which had departed from Hamburg, Germany. Ellis Island records listed her as divorced, a housekeeper, born in Austria. Her previous residence was shown as Jennersdorf, Austria, and her nearest relative as father Alois Krenn of Jennersdorf, Austria. Her final destination was listed as brother Josef Krenn, 245 Elm St., New Britain, Connecticut.1 Johanna and son Frans were detained at Ellis Island until finally admitted to the U.S. on Jun 18 1921.1 The cause for this detention was recorded as "LPC Un 16" (??).
She then married Frank Hammerl.4 Frank was born Dec 1 1887, Vienna, Austria.4,9

Note that in the 1932 city directory above Johanna and Frank were reported to have "removed to Austria".6 It is unknown if Frank might have died in Austria, or if they divorced, or if he abandoned Johanna there (or visa versa), but Johanna returned without him10 and after 1932 Johanna is shown alone, without Frank.6
On Oct 9 1932 Johanna and children arrived at the Port of New York on the S.S. Europa, having sailed Oct 3 1932 from Bremen, Germany:10

Johanna Krenn died Aug 14 1958, 110 miles west of Shannon, County Clare, Ireland.7
Johanna and her brother Joseph were killed in the crash of KLM Flight 607-E (aka Hugo de Groot), a Lockheed Super Constellation that crashed off the coast of Ireland on August 14, 1958, killing all on-board.7 See:
