Invitations and Favors

Our invitation was on a white card of heavy paper with an embossed edge. We used the closest font we could get to Copperplate Gothic. The ink was gold, which doesn't show up well in the photo. The invitation company had a double happiness symbol which we used. The inner envelopes were lined with red.

We made our own favors which were bookmarks. We bought red paper, gold pens, Chinese character stamps, gold stamp pads, self-sticking laminating plastic, and many rolls of ribbon. Our wedding logo was featured on the front and a double-happiness was stamped in the center. The back had a variety of other stamped characters. These bookmarks also served as our seating cards. We used white ribbon to attach a gold paper tag with each guest's name and table number written on it.

Earlier in the year, we made "save the date" magnets using the photo above. Lilly's brother and sister-in-law were given "Hello Kitty Chinese Wedding" dolls for their wedding, and Lilly had taken a photo of them. It was the perfect image for our magnets.
