Night at the Ritz
|
| We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco for our wedding night. Although we were promised a room with a view of the city, we got a room with a view of the inside courtyard. Since it was such a special occasion and we were certainly paying enough to warrant good treatment, we complained nicely and were upgraded to a wonderful suite with not much of a view but certainly a grandiose environment. |

|
The suite had two rooms
and two bathrooms, one with two rooms (one for the shower and toilet,
one for the tub and sink). There was also a DVD player.

We tried to take photos
of ourselves in the bathroom mirror, but the flash did not cooperate and
we were too tired to do math & physics.

|
The closet had everything
you'd expect in a classy hotel, including ethernet cables and connectivity
software.

We were hungry so we
ordered french onion soup and hamburgers. The burgers were mentioned in
a guidebook as being top notch. They were definitely the best burgers
we'd had and they came with amazing chips.

We kept our little
jars of condiments as souvenirs (Landon doesn't like any goopy stuff on
his burgers so we had plenty left over). We also brought back glass bottles
of Ritz-Carlton water, pens, notepaper,a loofah, bath salts, and other
sundry items that were ours for the taking (we certainly paid for them).
And we found out that our overnight parking fee was $40. We're not planning
to go back anytime soon but it certainly was a luxurious experience.
