Send copies of your *original* spam complaints (cover-letter complaint plus copy of actual spam with full headers) to this address.

If your spam complaint bounces (is returned not-delivered), because the complaint address was wrong, send the bounces (non-delivery notices), with or without a brief cover letter, to this address.

To find out where to send spam complaints: first get the full headers of the e-mail, next find the Received: line showing entry to your mail-host/ISP, next get the IP number of the SMTP client from that line, and finally look up the first two numbers here.

If it's too much trouble to find an address to send a complaint about spam, but you want to document the spam that trespassed in your mailbox, send a copy of the spam, exactly how you received it (i.e. with *no* cover letter, but please include the IP number in the Subject field if that's easy for you), to this address or this address. (There's such a lot of spam that the first is filling up so I created the second to split the load.)

Personal request: I never know whether anybody actually looks at this stuff, or whether I've wasted my time organizing this information. Everyone who sees this, please follow those instructions how to bypass my spam filter to send me e-mail, to tell me whether you found this file useful and to let me know of any suggestions you may have, and then send me an instant alert so that I know to look for your e-mail right away.
