   Job: Software Engineer (Platform & Infrastructure)
   Every month, over 30 million visitors come to Nextag for the best
   shopping experience. The Infrastructure team is tasked with ensuring
   these users have a fast, always available site. As a member of this
   team, you will be responsible for development, performance and
   scalability of several runtime systems like the search and web tiers.
   You will work with a nimble team of engineers to scale our architecture
   to meet future growth of Nextag. Given the core nature of this team,
   this position has high visibility across a broad spectrum - the CTO,
   the Chief Architect as well as several engineering teams.
   If you are passionate about cutting edge technologies deployed at real
   world scale, you will thrive at Nextag.
   Requirements:
   * 4+ years of experience in back-end software design and development
   * Understands software engineering as a craft & what it take to get
   systems production-ready
   * Experience with Linux-based, large-scale, distributed, web
   applications from front to back (especially, LAMP-like stacks)
   * Production experience with Java with a strong emphasis on performance
   code, design patterns and data structures
   * Ability to evangelize new technologies that make our product better
   in better/faster/cheaper ways
   * Strong experience with one or more technologies like:
   - Non-relational (NoSQL) stores like HDFS, Cassandra or similar
   - Big data processing frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, Pig or similar
   - SOLR/Lucene
   * Excellent communication skills
   * BS/MS in Computer Science
   Bonus:
   * Familiarity with Amazon EC2 and related services
   * Production experience with Python or Scala
