These are all in the exact order in which they appear on the two pages of paper, the back of a wrapper for toilet paper, because that was the only paper available the first day I was in the jail cell, and the back of an Inmate Grievance Form, which I acquired later. Mostly these notes are in the exact order in which I conceived and wrote them, but occasionally I thought of something later that was an addendum to an earlier item, so I wrote it aside the earlier item rather than down at the bottom in chronological sequence.

At first I thought the "8" referred to an houglass shape, as in

away from me and her foster parents took her on a road trip whereby
