Hmm, I see your point. A more accurate metaphor would be slave, because members of an organized religion really are enslaved by that church, but slaves have been abused even worse, so I don't want to use them to make this point, and also slaves aren't regarded as indecent people, which is what I want to imply by my choice of term.

Can somebody suggest a replacement for "whore" in my ditty, which shows contempt for memvbers of churches while not further defaming anyone who is already defamed quite enough?
