BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The U.S. military said on Monday it killed 75 insurgents in a new offensive in western Iraq, striking back after guerrilla attacks that killed 10 American troops, two U.S. civilians and dozens of Iraqis at the weekend.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) -- The discovery of more flood victims from Hurricane Georges in a border town pushed Haiti's storm death toll to 147, the government said today. At least 370 people were killed last week during Georges' rampage through the Caribbean. The deaths include 210 in the Dominican Republic, five in Cuba, three in Puerto Rico, three in St. Kitts and two in Antigua.
