HERAT, Afghanistan (Reuters) - At least 56 people have been killed and scores more are missing after severe flooding in northwestern Afghanistan this week, and NATO airlifted emergency aid on Saturday, officials said.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Police in Baghdad found 56 bodies and a severed head over the past 24 hours in various parts of the capital, the highest daily figure since the end of Ramadan, an Interior Ministry source said on Friday.

On Thursday 7 July 2005 a series of four bomb attacks struck London's public transport system during the morning rush hour. At 8:50 a.m., three bombs exploded within 50 seconds of each other on three London Underground trains. A fourth bomb exploded on a bus at 9:47 a.m. in Tavistock Square. Fifty-six people were killed in the attacks, including the four suspected bombers.
