PRISTINA, Serbia (Reuters) - Italian peacekeeping troops have found a total of 748 bodies and 31 mass graves scattered through western Kosovo, their sector commander said on Thursday. Brig. Gen. Mauro Del Vecchio also said the west-northwest zone of Kosovo suffered the worst destruction at the hands of Serbian security forces before they ended a purge of ethnic Albanians and withdrew from the province in return for a halt to NATO air strikes.
