If you are an member and have registered for a hike using the e-mailed link, your browser will remember your elite membership status. After that, the Schedule Page will display the Hike Name as a link to the hike notice once it has been posted. After you have registered for a hike, a icon will appear next to the Hike Name on this page, which (when clicked) will let you know who is coming. Should you need to reset your "cookie" on a different device, have us send you a link, which will allow you to authenticate yourself.

PLEASE NOTE: Joining these hikes is entirely voluntary and participants assume the full risks associated with the activities. It is each hiker's responsibility to ensure that s/he is in sufficient fitness and health to participate in a strenuous hike, with the appropriate water, food, clothing, first aid, and navigation equipment for the conditions. We are, at best, an informal group of friends and acquaintances who gather voluntarily for their common interest in hiking. The "Occasional" group and the individual hike organizers make no representation or warranties about the quality, safety, or supervision of these activities.

In plain English, the hikes we do may be more demanding than other organizations advertise. We hike at a fast pace and don't take many breaks to stop and smell the roses. If you are joining us for the first time, it is highly recommended that you start out with a Level 1 or Level 2 hike. Many newcomers have just showed up to a hike unprepared and paid the price -- we've had to have people airlifted out. If any of the hikes listed above are posted as Level 3 or higher, you really need to be an experienced long-distance hiker in order to attempt them.
