Write-up by Steve -- Pictures by Jarda, Kendra and Steve

The requirement for this hike was to reach the intersection of Mississippi Creek Trail and Mississippi Ridge trails (via Hartman Trail). Everyone signed up to do Mississippi Creek because it looked easier. Mihail went one step further and declared he'd go to the intersection and then go cross country to an even easier route. He was successful. So were Jarda and Steve with Mississippi Creek. Everyone else bailed at the crossing point and took Mississippi Ridge, which was certainly a reasonable choice.

Mississippi Creek got progressively more complicated to follow after that. But, excepting the part where you had to climb over trees on the side of a hill with a full pack, it was pretty fun.

Check out the many routes taken by Occasional.

Some people dragged around in camp that morning

Others were on top of Hartman Peak 45 minutes after the above picture (note blue tape on branch)

Made it to County Line Road (note blue tape on bush--end of Hartman Trail)

Hartman from County Line Road

Horse Camp, the start of Mississippi Creek Trail

Nice grassy trail for a while

Steve's picture just before a gnarly stretch of trail

Jarda's nearly identical picture two hours later (everyone else missed this fun)

First confirming one is actually on Mississippi Creek Trail on the second half of the trail -- it felt like a milestone

Jarda took a picture of the same sign -- see what I mean?

Made it to the other end of Mississippi Creek Trail
