The Chinese Market Watch

During the 19th and early 20th century, Switzerland exported a specific kind of watch to China. With the empasis on beauty and gadgetry, while putting the quality of time keeping as secondary, was a big hit in China. The result is a timepiece that is more art than machine. Me being of cantonese descent, and the fact that the Chinese Market Watch always was imported first to the provence of Canton and also setting up casing shop and repair shop, this type of watch is very dear to me. I have created a website dedicated to the Chinese Market Watch, and over the last ten plus years it has attracted numerous visitors, including the Chinese Market Watch firm Bovet Fleurier itself. Through the website I develop a friendship between the firm and me.
