Sarah's mother died when she was about 6 years old,1 and she was apparently sent to live with another family (her widowed father did not remarry until 1856). Sarah A. Hinchaw [sic] was shown in the 1850 census, White County, Indiana, living in the household of Jacob & Sarah Dibia:2,3
Sarah A. Hinshaw, age 10, born in Ohio; attended school.
She married Samuel Fleming, Oct 7 1857, White County, Indiana.1,4,5 Samuel was born about 1831, Ohio.6

David Fleming, born c1859, Indiana.
