David and family were shown in the 1910 census (Apr 19 1910), 815 Corbett Street, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon:1

Henshaw, Grace L., wife, age 24, born in Oregon; father born in California; mother born in Oregon; first marriage, married 7 years; 2 children, 2 living.
Henshaw, Morice F., son, age 4, born in Washington; parents born in Oregon.
Henshaw, Meryle L., daughter, age 1, born in Oregon; parents born in Oregon.
But it appears that David and Grace were separated during 1910, as David was also shown in the 1910 census (Apr 15 1910), living or staying with his parents in Houlton, Columbia County, Oregon:8

David registered for the World War I draft, and enlisted for service, in Multnomah County, Oregon.6  

David and Grace apparently divorced sometime between 1910 and 1920 (probably closer to 1910).  Grace remarried to a Henry/Harry Watts.2,3  

He then married Erma Redfield, 1920.4,10,11  Erma, daughter of William H. Redfield & Ella Kytch, was born Dec 11 1890, Oregon.5,12  (Dec - 1889).11  

David was shown in the 1920 census (Jan 15 1920), living in what appears to be a loding/boarding house in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon:9
