He declared he was born Dec 3rd 1885, and was then residing in Winslow, Kitsap County, Washington where he was a caulker apprentice employed by D.W. Hartzul Inc. of Winslow. He declared his nearest relative was his mother, Mrs. C.E. Guse of Winslow. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, brown eyes, black hair.4
