Daniel was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.4
While in the Navy, it was discovered that he had diabetes, dependent on insulin. He had what was called "brittle" diabetes. Despite all the problems with the disease, his humor remained until the last.2
He married Beverly Eloise Tuftland1,6 [Beverly Eloise Tufteland7]. Beverly, daughter of Gustave Adolph + Rose Ella Tufteland, was born Apr 26 1934, North Dakota.1,3,4,7,8
