Born Aug 10 1889, McAlester, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma (Indian Territory).1,2,3 (Aug 10 1890).4,5 (Aug - 1888).6
On Jun 5 1917 Cyrus S. Henshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Madison County, Illinois. He declared he was born August 10th 1889 in McAlester, Oklahoma, and was then residing in Glen Carbon, [Madison County,] Illinois, single, a self-employed barber. He was recorded as tall, medium build, gray eyes, light hair.1
On Apr 27 1942 Cyrus S. Henshaw, age 52, registered for the World War II draft in Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois. He declared he was born Aug 10 1890 in McAlester, Oklahoma, and was then residing in Glen Carbon, Madison County, Illinois, employed by Veterans Relief Commission of Edwardsville, Illinois. He declared his relative/contact was Mrs R.R. Schiber of Glen Carbon. He was recorded as 5'9" tall, 170 lbs., hazel eyes, blonde hair, light complexion, and "scar on right cheek".4
He married Elizabeth Titter.2
In 1957 Cyrus was still living in Glen Carbon, Madison County, Illinois.7,8
Cyrus S. Henshaw died Sep 25 1963, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois; age 74.2,3
Cyrus' obituary was published in the "Edwardsville Intelligencer" (Edwardsville, Illinois) on Thursday, September 26, 19632 (see scan below).
