Jack left North Carolina at about age 15 and moved to Michigan, eventually becoming an exec at G.M.¹

He married Emily Roach, 1935, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.^1,4 Emily, daughter of Edward Francis Roach and Erna Wagner, was born Dec 26 1910, Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota.^1,2,4,7,8,11

Jack and family were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 6 1940), 428 Clark St., Aurora, Kane County, Illinois:²

During World War II Jack served as a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army. After the war, the family lived in Asheboro, NC for a few years, then moved to Alexandria, Minnesota.¹
