Born Aug 18 1923, Washington, Washington County, Iowa.3,4,5,6,7 Rex and brother Ray are identical twins.3
Rex was raised in Boulder, Colorado. He enlisted in the U.S. Cavalry in 1942 and served in the China Burma India theater until 1946. He then enrolled in Veterinary School at Colorado State University, graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1952. He practiced in Yuma, Arizona for a short while and then accepted a position as veterinarian for the Arizona Racing Commission. He served as Chief Veterinarian for both horse and dog racing in Arizona until his retirement in 1989.1
He married Margaret Kemp.1 Margaret was born 1927.1
He then married Golda Marie Burt1,8 [Golda Marie Winter8,9]. Golda, daughter of Richard W. Burt & Golda Alline Willis, was born Mar 30 1941, Jackson, Mississippi.1,6,7,8,10,11,12 Golda had been previously married to Chester Lamont Winter, Mar 18 1959, Iron County, Utah,9 by whom she had a daughter, Christi Winter.13
Golda died Jun 13 2014, age 73.8,11,12

Golda Hinshaw, 73, of Prescott, Ariz., born March 30, 1941, in Jackson, Miss., passed away June 13, 2014. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home.

Golda was born on March 30, 1941, in Jackson, Miss., to Richard and Golda Burt. Her family moved to Bagdad, Ariz., when she was 10. She left this world on June 13, 2014, with her family by her side.
She was a fun-loving world traveler who loved to share those experiences with others and did so by giving her grandchildren high school graduation gifts of a trip with her to any country they chose. She was truly an amazing, strong, classy woman.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Rex Hinshaw; one brother, Richard Burt Jr. (Sandy); three children, Christi Weedon, Tracy Winter and David Hinshaw (Sonia); two stepchildren, Keith Hinshaw (Michelle) and Steve Hinshaw; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. The family would like you to join them for a gathering of friends and family from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 12, 2014, at the Prescott Adult Center 1280 E. Rosser St., Prescott, Ariz.
