Alden was a World War II veteran,6 serving as a navigator on B-17 missions over Germany.7  He enlisted in Indianapolis on Aug 26 1943 as a private.  He declared he had two years of high school, and was then single, without dependents, employed as an automobile serviceman.5  

He married Mary Jane Stonerock.1  

In 2004 Alden was living in/near Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida.3
