He married Louisa R. Horning, Feb 28 1893, Keokuk County, Iowa.^c,d    Louisa, daughter of Anton Horning & Mary Conkle, was born in 1868, Iowa.^d

Elvin E. Hinshaw died Jul 27 1895, Richland, Keokuk County, Iowa; age 28; buried Highland Cemetery, Richland, Keokuk County, Iowa.^63,c,e,f

Elvin's obituary was published in "The American Friend" on August 8, 1895 (page 773).^f

It is believed that Elvin and Louisa did not have children^g (they were only married less than two years when Elvin died).    After Elvin died Louisa returned to her father's household in Iowa^h (census records show no child living with her).^h
