Darold F. Anderson of Willamina died Dec. 14 in Willamina. He was 76. He was born to Erick and Freda Johnson Anderson in Leonard, Minn.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He married Ada Hinshaw on Oct. 31, 1945 [sic] in McMinnville. They lived on Gooseneck Creek Road near Sheridan for 18 years until settling in Willamina in 1977.
He worked for Braxling and Braxling as a timber faller until his retirement in 1989.
He attended the Willamina Assembly of God Church.
He enjoyed hunting and going for drives in the woods. He was always helping others.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada on May 10, 1995.
Survivors include his sons, Steven of Willamina and Ronald of Lewiston, Idaho; daughters, Brenda Rober of Willamina and Denise Rode of Lewiston; sister, Nancy Green of Anaconda, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday Dec. 19 at Dallas Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19 at Dallas Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in Upper Falls City Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Dallas Mortuary Chapel which handled the arrangements.
