Ozelle's obituary was published in the "Greensboro News & Record" on December 11, 1996:1
Mrs. Ozelle Bass Hinshaw, 79, of 2218 Maple Street, passed away on Dec. 12 [sic], 1996, at Guilford Health Care Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Palm Street Christian Church. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Mrs. Hinshaw was born in Erwin, but was raised from the age of 8, until she was 18, in the Methodist Orphanage in Raleigh, after the death of her father. She was retired from Cone Mills Revolution Plant after 30 years of service, and was a member of Palm Street Christian Church. Surviving are husband, A. Herman Hinshaw of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and LaMarr Neese; son, Butch Hinshaw, all of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hinshaw of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sherry H. Wilson of Randleman, Ellen Neese of Greensboro; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Mae Lucas Jackson of Shannon. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
