Frank, son of Henry Pohl & Anna Katherine Bodick^1,2,3, was born Jun 23 1897^1,2,3, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^1,2,3 [Bowertown, Pennsylvania⁷, Iowa⁶]. Frank had been previously married with a child.¹ About 1920 he had changed his name from Frank Joseph Pohl to John Francis Brown¹ (John F. Browne).⁶
