On May 18 1942 Earl C. Hanshaw, born 1914 in Kentucky, enlisted in Huntington, West Virginia as a private in the U.S. Army. He declared he had a grammar school education and was single, without dependents, a resident of Carter County, Kentucky. He was recorded as 64 inches tall, 122 lbs.8
Earl Clayton Hanshaw died Nov 24 1991, Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky; age 77.6,9 (West Virginia).9 Death certificate #1475.9
