Rupert O. Henshaw Jr.
Rupert O. Henshaw, Jr. (Bud), born to Rupert O. and Katherine A. Henshaw on October 25, 1929 in Charleston, West Virginia, was raised in Hollywood, CA, and graduated from Fairfax High School; he relocated to Phoenix, AZ. after joining the Air Force as a mechanic, serving from 1950-1954. Employed by Air Research (currently Honeywell) in 1955 to work assembly line, he was ultimately promoted to Lab Design Engineering Supervisor before retiring in 1990. An active member of St. Daniel the Prophet, served as usher, Eucharistic minister, lector and sacristan, Bud was a jokester and storyteller with a keen sense of humor. He was practiced in woodwork artistry and enjoyed a good Indy race. Predeceased by his parents, his sister, Saylor Irene Fini, and his daughter, Jennifer, he is survived by his wife, Dolores, two daughters, Nancy and Juli, granddaughters Jennifer and Saylor, nieces Kathy Wright, Mindy Cantell, Amy Stolz and nephews Christopher and Mark Fini. Bud passed peacefully March 28, 2006. Visitation is at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale March 31, 6-8 PM; Funeral services at St. Daniel the Prophet, NW corner, Hayden and Roosevelt, Scottsdale April 1, 1 PM, preceded by a viewing at noon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Valley, or St. Daniel the Prophet.
