On Jun 5 1917 Earl Hanshew, age 23, registered for the World War I draft in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He declared he was born June 9 1894 in Jefferson County, Nebraska, and was then residing at 606 Ama [unclear], Homestead, Pennsylvania where he was single and employed by the U.S. Steel Corp. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, blond hair.3
Earl Hanshew died Aug 12 1918, Picardi, France.4
