Betty E. Fields
Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2014. Born September 27, 1925, in Elwood, Indiana, to O.E. Hinshaw and Pauline Cartmel Hinshaw Brown. She was a teacher for special needs children for many years, as well as real estate sales lady. She was a very active pillar in the Carmel Friends Meeting and a faithful volunteer at St Vincent Hospital in Carmel.
Survived by husband, Donald Fields, half sister, Nancy Hinshaw, children, Paula Fogelberg (Harold), Melissa Young (John), Spencer D Fields (Celeste), Kim Moffett (Eric), grandchildren, Darcy Copeland (David), Todd Fogelberg (Sara), Cheney Harper (Brad), Ian McConnell, Joshua Young, Jordan Young, Krystan Fields, Alex Fields, Elijah Moffett (Katie), Justin Moffett (Jennifer), Megan Moffett, and Zachary Moffett, and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Donnie; daughter, Laurel McConnell; and grandson, Spencer A. Young. A memorial service will be held at Carmel Friends Meeting, 651 W. Main St, Carmel, Indiana July 12, 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carmel Friends Meeting or Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
