Elsie was the sister of Beulah Roberta Adkins who married Opra's second cousin Noble Leo Hanshaw.¹⁴

Opra Ernest Hanshaw died May 4 1995, buried Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery, 106 E. Main Street, Mannington, Marion County, West Virginia.^3,11,15

In 2000-2003 Elsie was still living in Mannington, Marion County, West Virginia.^3,16
