On Jun 5 1917 Joseph A. Henshaw, age 21, registered for the World War I draft in Oregon County, Missouri. He declared he was born Feby 6th 1896 in Koshkonong, [Oregon County,] Missouri, and was then still residing in Koshkonong, a self-employed farmer, married, with dependent wife and mother. No previous military experience. He was recorded as tall, slender, light grey eyes, light hair.3
He then married Lorraine -, about 1935, Greene County, Missouri.4
Joseph A. Henshaw died Feb 6 1940, Springfield, Greene County, Missouri; buried Garden of Roses, Section 9 Plot 2 Grave 2, Eastlawn Cemetery, 2244 E. Pythian Street, Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.4
