Of "Wartre Hall, in the Parish of Childo, in the County Palatine of Lancaster."1
Born about 1582, Wavertree Hall, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.3 Christened Apr 30 1590, Walton on the Hill, Lancashire, England.3,4
He married Ellen Parker1,5 [Eleanor Parker3, Ellen Radcliff6, Ellen Ratcliff5], Sep 23 16111,5, Hollinfare, Lancashire, England1,5. [Sep 23 1611 is probably the date the marriage license was issued].5 Ellen was born about 1584, Bridgehall, Lancashire, England.3 Ellen was the daughter of -- Parker "of Kridgehall in the County Palatine of Lancaster, Esq. and of Derbyshire."1
Joshua Henshaw's 1701 pedigree shows Ellen was the "Relict of ... Radcliff of Bank Hall, Esq. and of Derbyshire",6 indicating that Ellen had been previously married to a - Radcliff, and widowed. Their marriage license record of Sep 23 1611 confirms: "Evan Haughton, Parish of Walton, Lanc., and Ellen Ratcliff, Parish of Cheadle, Chesh., Widow. Bondsman, Richard Garnett. At Hollinfare, Lanc."5
Evan Houghton died 1644.1 Evan was "killed at the taking of Liverpool in Lancashire by Prince Rupert, during the civil war" @ "1644, where he was in prison" @ "1638."1 (Jun 20 1644).7
