Born Sep 20 1896, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9  

In 1912 George was living at home with his parents.10  

On May 27 1918 George Russell Henshaw, age 21, registered for the World War I draft in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.  He declared he was born Sept. 20 1896 in Uniontown, and was then still residing in Uniontown and was a student at Ohio State University.  He declared his nearest relative was his father, William Henshaw of Uniontown.  He was recorded as having brown eyes, black hair.7  

He married Isadora Terry, about 1929.1,8  Isadora was born Jan 7 1905, New York.1,2,4,8  

George was raised on the family farm and attended the public schools in Uniontown.  He received his M.D. degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, interned at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and the following year was appointed to the staff of Middletown State Hospital in Middletown, New York.1  

He later entered private practice near Rochester, New York and was appointed to the staff of Genesee Hospital in Rochester.1  

His next move was to New York City to accept an appointment to Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital and New York Medical College as an instructor in pharmacology and a research scientist.  Later he again entered private practice in Montclair, New Jersey, where he resided until his death in 1985.1  

George and Isadore were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 7 1930), 267 Orange Road, Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey:8

Henshaw, George R., head-of-household, age 33, born in Pennsylvania; parents born in Pennsylvania; first married at age 32; rented home ($150 rent); no radio in home; occupation: physician, general practice; World War I veteran.
Henshaw, Isadore, wife, age 25, born in New York; parents born in New York; first married at age 24.

George and family were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 10 1940), 49 N. Park St., Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey:2

Henshaw, George R., head-of-household, age 43, born in Pennsylvania; completed 5 years of college; on Apr 1 1935 was living in the same house.
Henshaw, Isadore, wife, age 35, born in New York; completed 3 years of college; on Apr 1 1935 was living in the same house; rented home ($100/month rent); occupation: medical doctor, private practice.
Henshaw, Robert, son, age 4, born in New Jersey.
Henshaw, George R Jr., son, age 2, born in New Jersey.

On Apr 26 1942 George Russell Henshaw M.D., age 45, registered for the World War II draft at the Mt. Hebron School, Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey.  He declared he was born Sept. 20 1896 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and was then residing at 228 Midland Ave., Montclair, New Jersey where he was a physician.  He declared his relative/contact was Mrs. George R. Henshaw of the same address.  He was recorded as 5' 8", 150 lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, dark complexion.9  

George Russell Henshaw died Mar 29 1985.1,4  

Isadora died Sep 20 1999.4
