She married Thomas Benge, Jul 2 1808, Surry County, North Carolina.44,a    Thomas, son of Thomas Benge & Susannah Lewis, was born about 1767, Wilkes County, North Carolina.b    (Thomas' father also reported to be Cotton Benge).c

A marriage bond was recorded for Hannah Hinshaw & Thomas Benge on July 2, 1808, Surry County, North Carolina.36

A Thomas Benge (re)married on Dec 15 1809 to a Tempey "Patsy" Brownb (although there is some doubt if this was the same Thomas Benge or a different Thomas Benge).

Hannah (apparently widowed) was shown in the 1850 census (Oct 30 1850), Greensfork Township, Randolph County, Indiana:d

Hannah Benge, age 70, born in North Carolina; cannot read or write.
Jane Benge, age 27, born in North Carolina; cannot read or write.
Hannah Benge, age 7, born in Indiana.
W. H. Clay Benge, age 5 months, born in Indiana.
George W. Benge, age 5 months, born in Indiana.
