Born Apr 19 1902, Cropsey, McLean County, Illinois.1,2,3,4,5,6  

In 1926 Margaret received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Illinois State Normal University; S.M. (Master of Science), University of Illinois, 1936.  Margaret was a country school teacher in Bloomington, Illinois, 1920-21.  She was a High School teacher in Carrolton, Illinois 1926-43 and Taylorville, Illinois 1943-45.  She was an instructor at North Park College, Chicago 1945-53; Assistant principal, Wyanet, Illinois High School 1953-57; instructor Morton Twp High School 1957; instructor at Cumberland College.  She was a member of: AAAS, Nationall Association of Biology Teachers, PEO, Delta Kappa Gamma, Methodist.6  

Bernice lived in Williamsburg, Kentucky.2,6  She never married.2  

Margaret Bernice Hinshaw died Mar 10 1974, Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona; age 71.2,3,5,7  

Bernice's obituary was published in "The Sun" (Yuma, Arizona) on Monday, March 11, 19745 and on Tuesday, March 12, 19747 (see scans below).
