At Oskaloosa MM on 12-6-1906, Ralph & sister Katie were received on a certificate from New Providence MM, Iowa.1  

On Dec 4 1908 the Greenleaf Literary Society was formed in Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho.  Fourteen days later later the society met for a big debate: Resolved that old maids are more beneficial to the country than bachelors.  Affirmative: Clarence Daily, Carrie Antrim, Macy Hatfield.  Negative: Ralph Hinshaw, Ira Tish, Blanche Hibbs.  The negative won.9  

He married Margarette Hazel Burnside8,10 [Margaret Burnsides1,3], Oct 26 19098,10 [Oct 6 19098], Mahaska County, Iowa8,10.  Margarette, daughter of William Burnside & Hannah Henderson3,7, was born Aug 21 18843,7 [Aug 21 18836,11], Iowa3,7.  

At Oskaloosa MM on 4-1-1909, Ralph was granted a certificate to Greenleaf MM, Idaho.1  

Ralph and Margaret were shown in the 1910 census (May 30 1910), Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho:7

Hinshaw, Ralph, head-of-household, age 28, born in Iowa; father born in Tennessee; mother born in Indiana; first marriage, married 6 months; occupation: farmer, [..unclear..]; owned farm (free).
Hinshaw, Margaret B., wife, age 25, born in Iowa; parents born in Ohio; first marriage, married 6 months.

Ralph registered for the WWI draft in Canyon County, Idaho.5  

Ralph was an early member of the Greenleaf Academy School Board for several years.12  

Ralph and Margaret were again shown in the 1920 census (Jan 15 1920), Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho:2

Ralph Hinshaw died Feb 8 19203,6,10,13,14, Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho3,6,10,13,14 [Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho8]; buried Forrest Cemetery, Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa3,6,10,13,14.  

Ralph's obituary was published in "The American Friend" on March 11, 1920 (page 256);8,14 another obituary was published in "The Friends Minister" on March 4, 1920 (page 6);8 (see scans below).  

At Oskaloosa MM on 1-6-1921, Margarette (Burnside) & children Robert & Hannah were received on a certificate from Greenleaf MM, Idaho.1  

Margarette died Aug 17 1946, Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho.6,11
