In 1918 Arthur was living in Glouster, Athens County, Ohio.1
On Sep 12 1918, Arthur D. [initial unclear] Henshaw, age 35, registered for the World War I draft in Athens County, Ohio. He declared he was born July 14 1883, and was then residing in Glouster, Ohio where he was a miner. He declared his nearest relative was Frances Henshaw of Glouster. He was recorded as tall, medium build, brown eyes, red hair.6
Arthur I. Henshaw died Jul 13 1925, Glouster, Athens County, Ohio.2
Arthur was involved in a bar room brawl and was hit in the eye, causing his death.2 Arthur's death was reported in "The Chronicle Telegram" (Elyria, Ohio) on Wednesday, November 25, 19257 (see scan below).
