Cleo's obituary was published in the Bloomington (Illinois) "Pantagraph" on September 29, 2000:4

HUDSON - Cleo Marie Hinshaw Harper, 90, of 306 W. Fulton St., Hudson, died at 12:32 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000) at Heritage Manor of Normal.  

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hudson Christian Church, Hudson, the Rev. Anet Satvedi and the Rev. Bill Vandervoort officiating.  Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington.  

Memorials may be made to Hudson United Methodist Church Building Fund.  

Mrs. Harper was born Dec. 28, 1909, in Carlock, a daughter of Clarence L. and Lida Mae Russell Hinshaw.  She married Chelsea Arthur Harper on March 1, 1930.  He died March 6, 1965.  

Survivors include two daughters, Doris (Donald) Beverage, Carlock, and Elaine (Jerry) Swope, Hudson; three sons, Glenn L. (Lena) Harper, Hudson; Donald (Geri) Harper, Humiston, Iowa; and Larry A. Harper, Bloomington; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.  

Two brothers, Russell and Virgil, and one sister, Leota Hinshaw, preceded her in death.  

Also preceding in death was a great-granddaughter, Heather Harper.  

Mrs. Harper was a homemaker.  She farmed with her husband in Carlock and Hudson.  

She was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church; Hudson United Methodist Women's Club; White Oak Social Club; and McLean County HEA.  

She greatly enjoyed her family and always looked forward to visiting with grand- and great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed as a Mom, Grandma and Great-grandmother.
