Dale attended Sloan-Hendrix Academy at Imboden, Lawrence County, Arkansas for grades one through ten.    She acquired a general equivalency diploma and then took courses to become a florist and an interior decorator.    These were classes taken at Arkansas State University and the Sheffield School of Design in New York.    She also took a medical transcriptionist course and received a certificate from Arkansas State University.^a

Dale worked as an interior decorator for Sears, Roebuck and Company in Jonesboro, Arkansas for more than nineteen years.    She was listed in Who's Who Among Business and Professional Leaders in 1996-97.    Courtesy award winner numerous times.^a

She married Bruce Osborn Burton, Aug 3 1958, Imboden, Lawrence County, Arkansas.^c,d    Bruce, son of George Burton & Eunice Osborn, was born Feb 8 1936, Austin, Mower County, Minnesota.^a,e,209

Dale and Bruce were divorced.^a    (Divorce decree recorded in Lawrence County, Arkansas).^a    Bruce died Aug - 1984.^e,209

She then married Robert Eugene McMasters, Sep 15 1965, Imboden, Lawrence County, Arkansas.^f    Robert, son of Robert McMasters & Geneva Walker, was born in 1939, Lunsford, Craighead County, Arkansas.^a,e

In 1974 Robert was ordained as a Baptist minister, his ordination taking place at Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church on highway 69 between Trumann, Arkansas and Lunsford.    The first church he pastored was Unity Baptist Church on Highway 18 west of Jonesboro, Arkansas.    The next church he pastored was Broadway Avenue Baptist Church in Bay, Arkansas, and the last church he pastored was Pilgrims Hope Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.^a
