Hinshaw, Junior, son, age 20, born in Oklahoma; completed 5th grade; on Apr 1 1935 was living in the same place/town; divorced; occupation: carpenter's helper, building construction; worked 16 weeks in 1939; $320 wages in 1939.
If the 1940 census can be believed then it seems that Howard might have married and then divorced before 1940. But censuses are often wrong.
He married Mona Jane Vines, May 11 1941, Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.1,5,6 Mona, daughter of Thomas Edward Vines & Effie Violet Huddleston, was born Jul 19 1921, Depew, Creek County, Oklahoma.5,6,7,8,9,10,11
On Jan 28 1942 Howard I. Hinshaw, born 1918 [sic] in Oklahoma, enlisted at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as a Private in the U.S. Army. He declared he had a grammar school education, was married, and employed as a sales clerk. He was recorded as 65" tall, 125 lbs.12

Dorothy Mae Hinshaw
Dorothy Mae Hinshaw, 89, of Sapulpa, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1912 in Chelsea and had lived in Sapulpa for the past 55 years, after moving here from Claremore.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Vanguard Ministries.
Survivors are her four children, JoAnn Helton and Jeanie Rollins, both of Sapulpa, Linda Larason of Oklahoma City and Delbert Hinshaw of Depew; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Norman Stanley of Tulsa.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hinshaw will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Vanguard Ministries with the Rev. Shirley Toliver officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Serving as casketbearers will be Jerry Helton, Mike Helton, Ron Johnson, Rob Johnson, Howard Hinshaw, Douglas Hinshaw, Bryan Hinshaw, Scott Leaterwood and Todd Larson.
