March 19, 1953 - August 22, 2011Mr. Franklin Thomas Hinshaw II, age 58, of Kennesaw, died Monday, August 22, 2011. A memorial service was held at Kure Beach community center, Kure Beach, NC on September 10, 2011.
Born in Asheboro, NC. Mr. Hinshaw was a 1971 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. He was employed with Lowes in Woodstock, Georgia, where he enjoyed the friendship of many of his coworkers. He had a big heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was also known for his patience, his sense of humor, and the jokes he shared. Franklin enjoyed hunting and was an avid reader of science fiction.
Surviving Mr. Hinshaw are:
Three sons: Thomas Hinshaw of Fayetteville, NC; Sterling Hinshaw of Kure Beach, NC; Jonathan Frederick Hinshaw of Kennesaw, GA.
Parents- Franklin Sr. and Bettie Hinshaw of Leland, NC
Three sisters -- Teresa Springfield of Wilmington, NC; Donna (Jan) Matthews of Monroe, NC; Linda Proetsch of Carolina Beach, NC
Brother -- Steven Hinshaw of Virginia Beach, VAIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jonathan Hinshaw educational fund C/O Linda Proetsch 411 Fayetteville Ave, Carolina Beach, NC. 28428.
