He married Myrtle Elliott Bulla, Mar 8 1922, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina.^1,3 Myrtle, daughter of Tilden Vance Bulla & Mattie Vuncannon, was born Aug 3 1901, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina.^1,2,3,10

Troy Jesse Hinshaw died Feb 12 1971, Randolph Hospital, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina; age 73.^2,7,10,13,16

Troy's obituary was published in the "High Point Enterprise" (High Point, North Carolina" on Saturday, February 13, 1971¹⁶ (see scan below).

Myrtle died May 15 1997, at her home, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina; buried Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery, north of Asheboro, North Carolina.^1,10

Myrtle's obituary was published in the "Greensboro News & Record" on Saturday, May 17, 1996:¹
