Ella's obituary appeared in "The Winchester Herald-Times" on Wednesday December 1, 1965:
Mrs. Summarell, 77, of Elora, Passes.
Mrs. Louella Hinshaw Summarell, 77, of Elora, died Sunday at Franklin County Hospital after a short illness.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Moore's Funeral Home. Officiants were the Rev. Raymond Kennedy and the Rev. Leve Bostick.
Burial was in Elora Cemetery.
Mrs. Summarell was born May 27, 1888, in Jackson County, Ala. Her parents were the late Albert and Eliza Counts Hinshaw. She was a member of the Elora Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Charlie Graham, McMinnville; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Moore and Mrs. May Yarbrough, Elora; one brother, Walter Hinshaw, Sewanee; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Nellie Underwood, Huntsville; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
